Steve Janzen Former Professional Basketball Player
Steve is a former Trinity Western Spartan standout shooting guard, co-captaining the team in his senior year. After completing both his Human Kinetics and Teaching degrees, he pursued his dream of playing professionally in Europe. Steve finished a seven-year career playing professional basketball in Germany and is currently an Athletics Director/Teacher and one of the Boys Basketball coaches at Semiahmoo Secondary. He is eager to share to youth ‘what it takes’ to ELEVATE their game to the next level, and inspire the next generation through his experience, passion, and knowledge. Steve also has 17 years of basketball camp coaching experience, 7 years experience coaching various youth club teams in Germany, and has coached high school basketball for the past 5 years. Recently, Steve has completed his Masters Degree at University of British Columbia in Education (Curriculum & Pedagogy). Using his vast experiences and knowledge of basketball and with his instructional abilities as a teacher, Steve is great at developing aspiring basketball players.
